reasons I love france #312
This painting is called "Olive Trees with the Alpilles in the Background." It depicts a mountain right behind the Roman ruins of Glanum that I visited this summer with the JA of Marseille. My friend and I climbed a little ways up this mountain to explore a small cave. (Really small.) So, get this: I once went treasure-hunting in a little cave on a mountain immortalized by the paintbrush of Vincent Van Gogh.
